Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party was proclaimed the victor of the Kogi Central Senatorial election conducted in February by the Kogi State Election Petitions Tribunal. It also nullified Senator Abubakar Ohere's All Progressives Congress victory.Justice K. A. Orjiako, the Tribunal Chairman, presented the three-man panel's unanimous ruling, confirming that Sen. Ohere's results were inflated in nine polling units in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
He further stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission decreased Natasha's results in those regions and removed the results of three other polling units in the same LGA that were designated for Natasha.
Following the necessary revisions, the court proclaimed Natasha the election winner with 54,074 votes, outnumbering Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.
